We believe that what we do in worship together matters and is forming our hearts and lives as followers of Jesus. Our worship gatherings follow an order, or liturgy, marked by adoration of God the Father, confession of our sin, remembering and trusting in the life, death, and resurrection of our savior Jesus Christ and responding together with thanksgiving for His Gospel, receiving God’s Word through preaching, celebrating the Lord’s Supper, and being sent out to the world empowered by the Holy Spirit to live in love and on mission in all of life.
Here’s a snapshot of our Worship Gathering: Each week, we sing a mix of old and new, biblically based songs, hymns, and psalms (Col. 3:16, Eph. 5:19). We use a variety of instruments and singers, whose goal is to serve and support the singing of the congregation. We pray together. We read Scripture together. There is usually a short time of silence before the Lord to search our hearts. Our sermons are expository. We observe Communion weekly.
How should I dress? Come as you are. Some people will be wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and some may be wearing a collar or tie… wear what’s comfortable for you. We are a flawed yet loving community who know we are only accepted by God’s mercy and grace in Christ alone — not by our outward appearance or some facade of “having it all together”.
Children? Children are welcome in our worship services! On your way in, grab a clipboard and some colored pencils! We offer a nursery for infants/toddlers up to age 3, as well as a classroom designed and furnished for children with special needs. We invite children ages 4 through 1st grade to exit the sanctuary right before the sermon to participate in a special age-appropriate lesson.
Our sanctuary has the movement and sounds of people of all ages during our service, and we love it!
Come worship the Lord with us!
