David grew up in a small town, Wauchula, Florida. He eventually graduated from the University of Florida with a journalism degree. After graduating, he married Karen in 1996, who is also from Wauchula and is a high school math teacher. After trying teaching for 4.5 years at Eustis High School, the Lord called him into full-time ministry at New Hope Presbyterian Church. God then blessed him and Karen with two children and allowed him to graduate from RTS Orlando with a Master’s of Divinity in 2016. David became ordained in the Central Florida Presbytery in 2017. He has a heart for discipling men and Church planting and began working at Good Shepherd in December 2025.
For fun, DK loves outdoor activities, sporting events, and the occasional Coca-Cola.
