“Learn to know Christ and him crucified. Learn to sing to him, and say, ‘Lord Jesus, you are my righteousness, I am your sin. You have taken upon yourself what is mine and given me what is yours. You have become what you were not, so that I might become what I was not.'”

-Martin Luther

…set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:13

Prelude: To Christ The Lord Let Every Tongue (Indelible Grace)

Gathering Song: Come Away From Rush And Hurry  (Marva Dawn, to the tune of Come Thou Fount)

Call to Worship – We believe God is who calls and enables us to worship Himself rightly, in Spirit and truth, so we go to His word in seek of that…

(from The Worship Sourcebook)

Leader: Let us worship the eternal God, the source of love and life, who creates us.

All: Let us worship Jesus Christ, the risen one, who lives among us.

Leader: Let us worship the Spirit, the holy fire, who renews us.

All: To the one true God be praise in all times and places,
through the grace of Jesus Christ.

Prayer of Invocation – We pray each week asking God to direct our hearts, “prone to wander” as they are, to Himself as we sing, speak, and listen in our worship gathering…

Adoration:

Doxology (Romans 11)  (Andrew Peterson)

All Creatures Of Our God And King  (Crowder, with alt. verses by Sovereign Grace Music)

Call To Confession: Psalm 53:1-3
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity;
there is none who does good.

God looks down from heaven
on the children of man
to see if there are any who understand,
who seek after God.

They have all fallen away;
together they have become corrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one.

Prayer Of  Confession – from the Valley of Vision “Confession & Petition”

Assurance In Christ: Philippians 1:6, 1 Timothy 1:15-17
Leader: I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

All: The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Song of Response: Before The Throne Of God Above (Bob Kauflin)

(Prayers for our City, Offering, and Doxology/Word of Praise)

Doxology

Praise God the Word in flesh appeared
Praise Him the Son of God sent here
Praise Him who sinless came to die
Praise Him who rose, now glorified
Amen
