“The essence of…worship [is] to be turning to God because of sin
so as to be turned by God from it.”
-Ashley Null

But I say, walk by the Spirit…
Galatians5:16

Prelude:  Hear The Call Of The Kingdom (Getty Music)

Gathering Song: Jesus Everlasting King (Indelible Grace Music)

Call to Worship – We believe God is who calls and enables us to worship Himself rightly, in Spirit and truth, so we go to His word in seek of that…

adapted from Psalm 148:1-2,8-13
Leader: Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights!
Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his hosts!
fire and hail, snow and mist,
stormy wind all fulfilling his word!

All: Mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars!
Beasts and all livestock,
creeping things and flying birds!

Leader: Kings of the earth and all peoples,
princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and maidens together,
old men and children!

All: Let us praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
his majesty is above earth and heaven.

Prayer of Invocation – We pray each week asking God to direct our hearts, “prone to wander” as they are, to Himself as we sing, speak, and listen in our worship gathering…

Adoration:

All Creatures Of Our God And King  (Crowder)

Call to  Confession:

1 John 1:5-10

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

God Be Merciful To Me (Psalm 51) (Indelible Grace Music)

Prayer Of Confession

Assurance In Christ

adapted from 1 Peter 2:9-11, 24
Leader: But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

All: Once we were not a people, but now we are God’s people; once we had not received mercy, but now we have received mercy.

Leader: Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.

All: He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds we have been healed.

Song of Response: I Stand Amazed (How Marvelous) (Tomlin)

(Prayers for our City, Offering, and Doxology/Word of Praise)

Praise God who lives inside our hearts
Praise Him whose power to us imparts
Praise Him who shows us how to pray
Praise Him who seals us ‘til that day
Amen
