The Liturgies Of Our Worship Gatherings
We use a blend of old and new songs and hymns every Sunday (Here's a Spotify Playlist of many of the songs we sing). Publicly and responsively, we read God's word together. Prayer is part of our gatherings, as well as confession, both personally and corporately. Receiving communion, the body and blood, is a weekly practice of ours during worship.
The order of our gatherings models the grand story of redemption. We gather and greet, are called to worship, and begin by adoring and praising God for his power and holiness. This is followed by a time of confession, and at times lamentation, as we are reminded of our need for God's work of redemption. We are then reminded of the finished work of Christ for all who profess faith, followed by a response of thankfulness and assurance. God's word is then preached during our gatherings. Finally, we take communion and are sent out with God's blessing to take to the world the hope that we have in Jesus.
Below are a few examples of orders of worship that we have used.
We would love to have you join us!
